Alabama Teacher Certification

Alabama Teacher Certification  – Testing

To get Alabama teacher certification, you will need to complete the Alabama Educator Certification Assessment Program (AECAP).

The basic skills assessments of the AECAP consist of the applied mathematics, reading for information, and writing assessments from the ACT WorkKeys System.

The applied mathematics assessment covers the basic mathematical skills required for work-related problems.

The reading assessment includes texts often encountered in the teaching profession.

So, the reading test can include instructions, policies, memos, bulletins, notices, letters, manuals, and governmental regulations.

The writing assessment is audio-based.

The passing scores for the AECAP are established by the Alabama State Board of Education.
