10 Test Tips

Are you preparing to take the LNAT? If so, here are some test tips to improve your performance on the day you take your exam:

1) Read critically from a wide variety of resources such as national newspapers.

2) Take practice tests at home to help with your time management on the day you take the LNAT examination.

3) Read the multiple choice questions on the reading test before you begin to read the passage. Reading the questions first will help you to anticipate what you need to look for in the passage.

4) Make notes and underline relevant parts of the text as you are reading it.

5) Bear in mind that you may need to take the time to re-read certain parts of the passage.

6) Answer each question carefully. Remember that there will be some answers that designed to make you think more deeply about the text because they are only slightly incorrect.

7) If you can’t answer a question, mark it in your test booklet and return to it later.

8) Each question on the multiple choice part of the test has one point, so don’t lose time struggling over one difficult question.

9) Answer each question based only on what is stated or implied in the passage. Don’t use your outside knowledge on the multiple choice part of the LNAT.

10) Don’t leave any questions unanswered. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so it pays to guess even if you are not sure which response is correct.
