TEST Content

The content of the LNAT is divided into two parts and lasts for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

PART A of the Test:  The test has a reading part consisting of several reading passages and multiple choice questions.

You are given a 95 minute time limit to complete the reading and multiple choice part of the examination.

The reading part of the exam assesses your ability to understand, analyse and interpret information.

The reading test also assesses your inductive, deductive, logical thinking and reasoning skills.

The reading and multiple choice part of the test contains reading passages on various subjects.

However, it is assumed that you will not need previous knowledge of any subject in order to complete the test.

PART B of the Test:  The LNAT Exam also has an writing part in which you must prepare an essay on set topics.

There is a 40 minute time limit for the writing test.

You will be able to choose a topic from the essay questions provided.

The purpose of the essay is to assess your ability to carry out an
argument in the English language and to reach a logical, persuasive conclusion.
